In recent weeks, Cole has learned to shake his head. You will find him shaking his head when you ask him a question, if there is music on, if Jim is playing the piano, or for no reason at all. He loves it. We caught a bit of his head shaking action while at Red Robin the other day.
For Christmas we bought, I mean Santa brought Cole this toy that he can sit and play music on. It also has wheels so that he can learn to walk with it. He is so cute when he tries to walk with it because he looks like a little old man pushing around a walker, only missing the tennis balls at the bottom. Unfortunately, the wheels don't have a thing so that we can change the resistance so the toy often goes faster than the boy. Here's some video footage of him. My apologies about the video Mom, as I was standing and moving when I was video taping it so it might make you sick.
And in other news, Cole reached new heights with his personal best of climbing 13 steps the other day. Although today he reached his personal worst and had his first fall down the steps (don't worry it was less than 13 steps). I think he may have slipped on some clothes that were strewn about on the steps. Hopefully he will avoid all future boobie-traps on the stairs.
Proof that our little boy loves to get into the electronics. We are currently looking for an entertainment center with doors to house this stuff before he reconfigures all the settings in such a way so that we can never use our devices again. He has already reconfigured the receiver once and Jim had to spend like 30 minutes trying to figure out what he had done and fix it. It turned out good though because in the process of fixing it Jim figured out that we weren't using the receiver to its fullest capabilities.
The lil' stinker recently started crawling and looooves to get into the electronics, and just recently he started noticing the bows on the presents under the Christmas tree. He loves to nibble on the bows. It's cute.
In an effort to learn how to use my camera I decided to do a photo shoot with Cole on Halloween in his costume. I feel like I got some cute pictures of him, although let's be honest, he is so cute how could the pictures not turn out well. Some of my favorites.
Each morning I go downstairs to eat breakfast. Once I am down there I will put Cole in his little bouncy chair so that I am hands free for a few minutes. He doesn't mind but I do think he gets bored looking at the same hanging elephant, hippo and banana bunch everyday. When he was younger I attached some of those little toy rings to the banana part so that he would have something to grab. When I put him in the chair the other day there were four rings attached to each other and then onto the banana ring. But when I went to pick him up out of the chair this is what I found...
He had somehow removed one of the rings and placed it around the hippo while dropping the other three rings in his chair. How did he do that? I asked him and his response was a big smile that seemed to say to me "I'm glad you noticed my work".
